一个学术界的朋友给我发过一个学术界黑话选，集中阐述了学术杂志上的常见术语的真实意思，好比说It is generally believed 其实是在说My colleagues and I think.

但是这个黑话集只有正式发表在Journal上的术语，很多在学术会议上使用的术语没有得到很好的归纳。我刚参加了一个两天的Workshop，每天八个小时的会议下来，我头疼欲裂，烦躁抑郁，无以言表。兹整理一个学术会议的黑话集，把明码放在左边，解密以后的真意放在右边，一如旧例。也希望大家踊跃补充。

（1） He has very good intuition.

means

His math sucks.

(2) He is a nice guy.

He doesn’t know anything.

(3) He is an eloquent speaker.

He doesn’t know what he is talking about and he can’t stop talking.

(4) Your idea is interesting...

means

Your idea is total bullshit.

(5) Excellent question. This is still an open problem...

I know there is a hole in my work, and I don’t know how to fix it. Please don’t ask me again.
